Pursuant to the Emergency Program Act, an Evacuation Order has been issued July 9, 2017 by the Central Coast Regional District due to immediate danger to life safety due to a wildfire.  Members of the BC Wildfire Service will be expediting this action.

Precipice Creek Wildfire Update (VA0778)

Fire guard construction and clean up continues north of Hotnarko Lake and south of Kappan Mtn. Road. Staging of equipment and supplies continue to be established along the Beef Trail and at Hwy 20 North of Hotnarko Lake. Direct ground attack continues to be limited to areas of the fire where safe road access is available and fire behaviour allows.
