Call for Nominations

The Coastal Ferry Act mandates a role for the Central Coast Regional District, and other coastal regional districts, in the nomination process for the Board of Directors of the B.C. Ferry Authority.  The Central Coast Regional District is seeking expressions of interest from qualified individuals who wish to be considered for positions as members of the Board of the B.C. Ferry Authority, commencing April 1, 2015.

Open Fires Permitted within the Coastal Fire Centre

Effective at noon on Sept. 24

All open fires will be permitted across the Coastal Fire Centre´s jurisdiction, due to a decreased risk of wildfires.

Central Coast Regional District - Introduction of 2014 Budget

The Central Coast Regional District board of directors met on December 11, 2013 to discuss the introduction of the budget for 2014 and beyond.  Preliminary indications are that two services provided by the regional district to residents of electoral areas C, D, & E (the Bella Coola valley) are projected to attract increased expenditures:  the Thorsen Creek Waste and Recycling Centre and the Centennial Swimming Pool.

The Central Coast Regional District (CCRD) Board of Directors are pleased to announce another successful round of the 2014 Grant-In Aid Funding.  Thirteen applications were received, valued at more than $30,500.
