The Coastal Ferry Act mandates a role for the Central Coast Regional District, and other coastal regional districts, in the nomination process for the Board of Directors of the BC Ferry Authority.  The Central Coast Regional District is seeking expressions of interest from qualified individuals who wish to be considered for positions as members of the Board of the B.C. Ferry Authority, commencing April 1, 2018.  The term of the appointment is three years to March 31, 2021.

CCRD Evacuation Order for Precipice Area Downgraded to Alert - August 25, 2017

Pursuant to the BC Emergency Program Act, the order in the Precipice area is being rescinded and replaced by the following Alert Area by the Central Coast Regional District at the Emergency Operations Centre. Please note that BC Parks has their own closures within the evacuation area. See Tweedsmuir Park South for more information.

Update for Travel on Highway 20 - August 25

Highway 20 is now OPEN and permits are not needed at this time. The Cariboo Regional District has lifted evacuation orders and replaced them with alerts for the Kleena Kleene and Tatla Lake areas.
