Campfire Ban Expanded in Coastal Fire Centre

Effective at noon on Thursday, July 2, 2015, the existing campfire ban in the Coastal Fire Centre will be expanded to include all areas within the fire centre's jurisdiction.

One Stop Shop for Recreation/Leisure Activities

Dear CCRD residents,

Central Coast Regional District staff is looking to compile a list of recreational and leisure activities that take place in the district but currently are not advertised outside word of mouth. Examples include hiking groups, bridge clubs, handicraft classes, target shooting, etc.

The goal is to take this information and build a “one stop shop” for recreational and leisure opportunities which visitors and prospective residents can readily access.

The Annual Report primarily advises our communities of financial and non-financial performance against the strategic priorities set for 2014 from the 2010 -2014 Strategic Plan and will outline some of the activities and challenges to be faced in 2015.

Solid Waste Management Plan Joint Committee

The Central Coast Regional District is [b]updating its Solid Waste Management Plan[/b]. This plan will help guild and provide direction for managing solid waste over the next 5-10 years. The Regional District is establishing a Joint Public and Technical Advisory Committee which will be known as the [b]Solid Waste Management Plan Joint Committee (SWMPJC)[/b]. The SWMPJC will be an informal stakeholder group representing various sectors related to waste management services throughout the region.

The CCRD maintains a list of contractors capable of undertaking general projects within the district and providing assistance during an emergency event. If you have already registered your equipment or services in 2014, then we will have your information on file, and there is no need to re-register.
