Pursuant to the Emergency Program Act an Evacuation Order has been issued by the Central Coast Regional District July 9, 2017 due to immediate danger to life safety due to a wildfire.  Members of the BC Wildfire Service will be expediting this action.

Coastal Wildfire Bulletin August 12, 2017

Precipice Creek Wildfire Update (VA0778)

Fire guard construction and clean up continues north of Hotnarko Lake and south of Kappan Mtn. Road. Staging of equipment and supplies continue to be established along the Beef Trail and at Hwy 20 North of Hotnarko Lake. Direct ground attack continues to be limited to areas of the fire where safe road access is available and fire behaviour allows.

BELLA COOLA, BC October 24, 2016 -The Central Coast Regional District Board of Directors appointed Wuikinuxv member Frank Johnson to the vacant Electoral Area A Director position during a regular meeting of the Board held on Thursday October 22, 2016.   This appointment follows the resignation in June 2016 of Area A Director Cathi McCullagh, and a subsequent by-election in which no candidates were declared.
