Policy: Planning & Design Process for Major Capital Projects

Preamble: As a general rule most Planning & Design stages of a major project fall beyond the expertise of any Directors or Administration serving the Central Coast Regional District.

It is therefore desirable to seek the best qualified sources for the local taxpayers money.


Policy: That the Central Coast Regional District will endeavour, through Government affiliations, to seek Planners & Designers with proven expertise in the areas the Central Coast Regional District is requesting be done, so as to minimize the possibility of error in Planning & Design.  It shall not be withstanding that if there are local Firms, Companies, etc., with proven expertise, that their submissions shall be given preference.  Providing the above, the decision of the Board of the CCRD shall be final and without prejudice.
