  Policy: Additional Directors Remuneration


  Preamble: On occasion a director is required to undertake a task over and above the regular duties of a director, such task often requiring time away from the area or away from the directors work.  Some remuneration is appropriate.


  Policy: That when the Board or the Board Chairperson designates a specific task to a Director requiring travel beyond the Director's area, the Board shall authorize the payment of remuneration as provided for in the payment schedule of the remuneration bylaw, at the same time as it authorizes the specific task.  The Board minutes shall record the authorization.
